What is your favorite thing about GetFruved?
- "I think my favorite thing about Fruved is seeing the change in undergraduate students that are involved in the project. I've been involved with them since the beginning and the growth and maturity that has happened is incredible. Some of them really step up to the plate and take on huge roles and have even become researchers in the lab. Not only is this a project to increase healthy lifestyles, but it has also allowed students to realize their potential and really put their skills to work."
- "My goal for this intervention is to see it continue when all the researchers aren't behind the scenes driving it. I think it's become a great program that could be utilized as a student organization that will allow other students to grow. I wish for it to become something students to do and want to drive themselves. I want people to realize that it's not silly people in costumes, but a program in place to aid in enhancing their lives."
- "A moment that inspired me actually happened a few days ago. Just when I think people are giving up or things I am doing aren't working or no one is interested anymore, something really great happens. One of the peer mentors emailed me a presentation she put together for her mentees about eating healthy over the holiday break and says that she's doing these presentations every week. This made me realize that this thing can work and has the potential, we just need caring and committed individuals who realize the importance."
