Freshman year can be stressful. New place, new friends, new classes, new stress. It can get overwhelming on days where you have three essays to write and a quiz due at midnight - especially when all you really want to do is crawl in bed with a carton of ice cream and your favorite Netflix show (believe me, we've been there). Sometimes everything piles up and it feels like it is just too much to manage.
This is why stress and time management are key. There are so many ways to lessen your stress too! The stress-ball making GetFruved event that took place on a Tuesday afternoon during the first week of October is a perfect example of a fun activity that can help get your stress down (and it only takes a balloon and flour!). We spoke to Sara Han at the event, who said that her favorite way to destress is "going to Lollicup to get Boba Tea and get crazy with cards of humanity." We can't argue with that, because who doesn't love Boba Tea and card games?? Oh, and puppies are a great stress reliever too (especially the adorable one pictured above).
Time management can help with the stresses of the week as well. Planning your week ahead of time or making check lists can be very beneficial. Find a method that works for you and really stick to it. You'll be blown away by how much you'll get done when you make a plan for yourself and follow through. Try it out for one week and let us know how it goes!
We would love to hear some more fun ways that you guys use to destress and time manage! Feel free to comment below and share your great ideas.
